What was the highlight of Panlaan Boutique Resort
Not what the pictures promise...
Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Quiet place.
When I booked, I was wondering why this place has relatively mediocre reviews (more expensive than similar places in Nong Khai). Now I know: the room (villa) is nothing like it is suggesded in the pictures. A very large room, but no table to take notes or work (there is a small table with a small sofa [NOT CLEAN], but it is no good to relax or work. No relax chair either, just a very large and unused space. Poor maintenance of the room/bathroom. Bathtub useless in a room without air condition. The bathroom is a sauna. Dirt in the corners, the sink comes loose when touching it, small, cheap fridge like in a one star hostal, very mediocre breakfast (Thailand is famous for food, I had breakfast once and skipped it twice). The owner comes during breakfast and intrusively asks for a good review. Madam, for a good review, you'll have to manage and invest much better!

Pleasant
Staff, room, food all good.
Remove the images of the pool, it no longer exists. It was filled in to expand the dining area. We had based our decision to stay on the fact that there was a pool. Not happy

Very Good
The staff super nice and helpful, speak good English location is good, room is clean, hot water ok, breakfast ok. Restaurant, Coffee shop, Travel Agency are GREAT GREAT GREAT
Villa Room floor have bad foot smelly issues should be cleaned. If Payment by Visa must pay additional % of total bill.
